Moving with God

Published on 8 September 2024 at 17:11

The Lord has shifted me into a new church. One that is typically not my style of church to go to. I have grown so accustomed to my previous church. I love everything about Sunday worship. It is the Monday through Saturday that is empty and can certainly be added too.

I saw a great future with this church, tremendous in fact, that would change the trajectory of my life!

I have been building towards, daydreaming of, and practicing my involvement with this church.

"One day God will reveal to them that I am "the one" and then I will take off from there, Buzz lightyear style! Any moment now"

Six months later, the shift.

When I went, it was confirmed in many ways that this was my new church after the Lord told me and He also explained why, which I will not share here today.

 I began looking at all the tasking, projects and assignments the Lord has had me worked and are currently working and am developing more of a detachment to them.

I have already assigned them to the Lord to do as He pleases. They were never mine to begin with only to steward as He leads.

But now I am moving into deeper levels of attachment. God should be given the freedom to move and shift us as He desires.

God does not waste a moment of our time.

We don't know how the enemy is blocking and how God is strategically shifting us. Afterall, this a war.

We don't know people are rebelling, hesitant or simply resistant to God's instruction.

I do also know that God will have us in a place as long as it takes for us to get what we need and when there is no more growth or, stagnancy, He will move you into a spacious place for you to grow.

Do not get locked in to where God has you or elements of what God has shown you.

God may just be showing you what's possible. God maybe using it as a training tool. God may want to build your hope and expectation. He must just want to build your faith. The Lord may want to test your endurance. He may just also want to see what's in your heart across time. It also just might be a safe hiding place as He builds you until your release.

Whatever God is doing it is for your good and is meant to prepare you to walk into your destiny.

So, trust God and move with Him. Do not be where the Lord is not.

If He asks you to shift and walk away from anything, know the season with the thing or person is over. It has served its purpose and know it is time for you to move on.

If something is not growing it is dying. If you stay where there is no longer growth, deterioration will begin. Do not hold onto dead things.

Be willing to shift with God.

Let go of the old and embrace the new. Your future is full of wonder and excitement. Release the past and Let God lead you into it.

Lord, I am but the clay in your hands. Sculpt me into your Masterpiece. My life is yours.

From Jesus:

You are more sensitive to my leading and are shifting well. Your resistance is down which means you are trusting me more. With the areas I've led you in, you are starting to trust me. Carry this over into all that I am leading you to do. How are you doing this Jennifer?

Me: By letting go of ego, reputation, image what others think and putting obedience first. And you've shown me when I do, you will come through.

Continue this attitude and you will be unstoppable.

Come after me, deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Me.

Question of the day

Are you where God wants you today, in this moment and time?

Or are you simply where He had you yesterday?

Seek God for where He wants you in the moment and for where He is leading you.

Do not get stuck where God was. Follow Him to where He is taking you.

Scripture

Psalm 66

For the director of music. A song. A psalm.

Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
    Sing the glory of his name;
    make his praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
    So great is your power
    that your enemies cringe before you.
All the earth bows down to you;
    they sing praise to you,
    they sing the praises of your name.”[a]

Come and see what God has done,
    his awesome deeds for mankind!
He turned the sea into dry land,
    they passed through the waters on foot—
    come, let us rejoice in him.
He rules forever by his power,
    his eyes watch the nations—
    let not the rebellious rise up against him.

Praise our God, all peoples,
    let the sound of his praise be heard;
he has preserved our lives
    and kept our feet from slipping.
10 For you, God, tested us;
    you refined us like silver.
11 You brought us into prison
    and laid burdens on our backs.
12 You let people ride over our heads;
    we went through fire and water,
    but you brought us to a place of abundance.

13 I will come to your temple with burnt offerings
    and fulfill my vows to you—
14 vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke
    when I was in trouble.
15 I will sacrifice fat animals to you
    and an offering of rams;
    I will offer bulls and goats.

16 Come and hear, all you who fear God;
    let me tell you what he has done for me.
17 I cried out to him with my mouth;
    his praise was on my tongue.
18 If I had cherished sin in my heart,
    the Lord would not have listened;
19 but God has surely listened
    and has heard my prayer.
20 Praise be to God,
    who has not rejected my prayer
    or withheld his love from me!
